I thought my friend was being taken in, and I was afraid he would be disillusioned and saddened in the end. When I expressed my concern, he replied, “When I stand before my Lord, I hope He’ll say of me that I’ve loved too many, rather than too few.” I’ve never forgotten his words. Paul insists that “[love] believes all things” (1 Cor. 13:7). Love “believes” in people. It can see the potential in them. It believes that God can take the most unattractive and unworthy individual and turn that person into a masterpiece of beauty and grace. If love errs, it must err in the way of trustfulness and hopefulness. Certainly, we must be aware of danger when we see it coming, and become “as wise as serpents” (Matt. 10:16). Tough love may be the best response to irresponsible and foolish people, but we can be too guarded, too wary and distrustful. It doesn’t do us any real harm to be hoodwinked and defrauded (Matt. 5:38-48). It’s better to believe in someone and have your heart broken than to have no heart at all. British poet Alfred Tennyson wrote, “ ’Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” I agree. — David H. "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." some may say im lost over love. but i'd say love loses all the ugly&negatives. you dont doubt. you have no reason to doubt. cos' you love; and you believe. 0 comments Sunday, September 27, 2009 ( now you see it;now you dont' @ 12:56 AM ) and i really dont like f1 for the record cos' it officially snatched jude away contemptuously for the whole week. like darndarn. im so grumpy over the whole issue cos' i feel so out-of-touched of him! i went to develop the family photoshot @tawangdang dinner & slipped it nicely over the frame at my workstation to cheer myself up. okays,it did work its magic for that every moment i turned to the righthandside of my monitor :) anyway,im just grumbling, like as always. HAHA. let us see- tuesdaywednesday i was good girl & had dinner @home after work. thursday so was i for picking daddy up from the airport. whooo! then the longawaited friday hen's party for our dear chris wong. hehs! i really dont think i have any need to elaborate much over the crazy night while i allow the peeekturess to do their entailed narration!      i love her be it she's sober           cannot wait for the second cockcockkeh night for my dumbdee aunty! :) anyhow, saturday family lunch for 3rd aunt's birthday was yet another round of feasting. total calories-worthy! i thought i had consumed my three meals of the day during that two hours itself la! it was almost a nine-course lunch starting with all-time favourite peking duck! pity jude was healing from his friday's hangover. hehs. this ian wong, he always believe that everyone elses' birthday is his too!   living to past sixties, all i may ask from merciful gracious God is to continually bless my aunt with all the pinkiest health! :) and for yesterday's random gathering over at my abode for mahjong&saboteur. it is just one of those superly random clueless night meant for the boring souls. HAHA. wells at least we entertained ourselves over short f1,mahjong,MTVs and oh, longggg hours of saboteur!hehs.   indeed i thank God for sending me the angels to occupy my mind. i miss you jude.  oh!i forget to mention that will asked me out for random katonglaksa on monday night? yes, like "hurr!?wtf" after being MIAed for that long period of time. probably people who knew the story of him&me would ask, "why?why dinner with him?" simply put, cos' i know i have already put down that chapter of my life,tucked away at the back of my mind & now, i can see him no more than a accquitance/plain jack friend. just some catchup over simple dinner and car ride. and nope, no recollection of our short past came breezing through at all over the short two hours. and yes, i aint' the same jo that you know anymore dick. :) 0 comments Friday, September 18, 2009 ( ilu,jude ow @ 9:55 PM ) dad's 60th feasting&beering was one happywhoowheelala one i'd say. the whole table of us drank beer together, for one of those rare times. yes imagine even my dear fatty drank?! baby drank with dad probably the whole evening. from tawandang to g.r.c's # 48. oh yes no one in the family actually drink with daddy the way jude does. hehs. mischevious him was behind the instigation of sabotaging nic&patrick up the stage for a duet song; and he sang "my way" with daddy! yes my boyfriend sang with my daddy. HAHA! we really hadnt' have that much crazy fun together in the longest time! meeriment level probably wouldn't be anywhere near this without your presence baby. *winks we should have MORE of such nights! :) just when you told me on wednesday that you wont be able to make it neither for dad's birthday feast&beer nor our b'fast session on his actual sunday, my heart screamed in loud awe when i saw that very familiar-looking you walking into tawandang; just when you said your two weekends'd be burnt over super import nights & F1 and that we probably wouldnt' meet till 3rd october for chris' wedd, you actually popped up right infront of me, leaving me no hints prior to that especially when we were texting. gosh you took my breathe away at that very moment i saw you walking in. literally you did jude. thank you for the surprise, really. i couldn't be more than any thankful for your effort. thank you. "Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for hearing & answering to my prayers. HAHA. so practically jude was the first guy who sent me home and said "hi" to my folks! now that explains my jubilation and excitement aint it so?! you made me fly high and sent me to my sweet dreams last night. thank you. we talked & laughed over the early silly months where he did nonsense yet how i held on to Faith and stayed on. and i said "no guys have ever made me done so much so" be proud i said, but dont' get too cocky. HAHA. im just being grumpy cos' im THIRSTY and there aint anyone available for some beers with me. joyce sis - crossed out yyx - crossed out biatches - needless to say, wont even bother asking them.HAHA jude - almost & nevertheless, crossed out there are two others who asked me to hang out but wells, i'd rather come back home to continue with my report & quotations. see?! im already so friend-less yet still picky!!!? HAHA. BLEHS! actually it really isnt' about being picky but rather, im just selective for my priority list. other than those on my priority list, i cannot really be too bothered to bother any others. why? cos' being out & around the whole day be it under the scoaching hot sun or cold rainy weather, you'd just want to sit down by the bar with those that you can spend the night talking & laughing off nonsense; even if it is not striking any conversation with each other and just merely enjoying each other's true companion. and defnitely not meeting any tomdickhenryjanemary whom you still have to pull off that plastic smiles on your already worn out face while trying to find for a topic to engage in. man! i just need my peace! anyhows, today's metup @ company P with daddy's old friend was really an eyeopener & learning trip. the good ol' tips in being a goodtop salesman from this senior was no doubt constructive. for he said, "dont be afraid to go all out, you are young & have just started out. go all out, be thickskinned & very importantly, be persistant & consistent.keep reminding yourself that you can do it.ask yourself what exactly are you selling?service?product?what exactly are your company's strenght that people have to use your service?what makes you different or standout from the others?you have to be know them and be sure of it before you can convince your customers!" oh yes i will push on, i will stay by Faith! for God will bring me through if He brings me to it! :) I CAN DO IT & I WILL SUCCEED IN IT! hehs. ****** endnote- at end's day, i really appreciate the little things you do to let me know you do care and actually hold a thought for me. really. no promises you have to give me because i know by Faith that whatever you say, you mean it from your heart. thank you, jude. thank you for the effort. 0 comments |
